Cajunman 2023 Award Medallion

The CajunMan is a tradition for all endurance fiends! 1/2 mile of swimming in Airport Lake, 20 miles of pedaling on the roads of Lafayette Parish, and finishing with a 5K running through the grounds of the Lafayette Regional Airport. Whether a beginner doing their first open water triathlon or an experienced triathlete looking for one of the best races on the Gulf Coast, this is it!!

Race Distances

Swim- 1/2 mile or 4oo meters: This is an open water swim in the University of Louisiana Ski Lake (9 time Division I National Champions).

Bike- 20 miles: The 20 mile bike course is on open roads with some police and volunteer support.

Run - 5K (3.1 miles): Out and back course. Stay to your left along the course.

Relay Teams: Minimum of 2 participants.

USA Triathlon Sanctioned Race
This race is being sanctioned with USAT. You, including all relay team members, must be a licensed USA Triathlon member at the time of registration or buy a one-day license to participate for $15.00 Click HERE to buy it. Friday, Sept. 6th 10am - 6pm  Packet Pick Up at Geaux Run (906 Harding St., Lafayette, LA 70503)

Saturday, Sept. 7th 10am - 4pm   Cafe 20.3 (1500 General Mouton Ave. Lafayette, LA 70501)

Sunday, Sept 8th 6am - 7:15am @ Race Site (all are encouraged to pick up Fri or Sat)

Sunday Schedule

6:00am Transition Open & Body Marking

Warm up swimming opens when life guards and safety boats are in place

7:15 Transition area closes & all swimmer exit water

7:30 All races start

**USAT RULE:  You are the only person that can pick up your packet and you must provide a picture ID. You cannot pick up someone else’s packet. kindly do not put the volunteer in an uncomfortable situation.

Refunds: There are no refunds. The race will take place rain or shine. Check out our Registration Roll Forward Policy.



AWARDS: 

Finisher’s prizes will be given to all completing the race.

TRIATHLON - INDIVIDUALS (AGE GROUP) The Top 3 Overall: Male and Female, Top Master: Male and Female, and Top Grand Master: Male and Female winners will receive awards.

Awards will also be given to the Top Male and Female triathletes in 14 and under age group and 5 year age groups from 15-70+.

Post-Race Party and Awards Ceremony

Be sure to hang around and enjoy a post-race party which will include great Cajun Cuisine from Cafe 20.3 beer.  Stay and CHECK OUT the Culture of Lafayette and the surrounding Acadiana area following the race. The awards ceremony will be held as soon as possible following the race. Unclaimed awards will not be mailed.

Parking: Some along Perimeter Rd but you will be stuck until the end of the race. Parking at Days Inn is permitted as well as along Frontage Rd. down to Wildcat Distillery
