DAY 1: Monday APRIL 21 - Fountainebleau to covington (37mi)

Day 2: tuesday april 22 - fountainebleau to slidell (36mi)

Enjoy some of the best road cycling on the Northshore and finish your day with plenty of great food, beers, and some music.

Lodging:

1) Lake side open dorm with bunk room & showers $75 (bring your sleeping bag and towels)

2) Tent camping at the lake side dorm cabin with showers $45

3) Lodging arrangements on your own in Fountainbleu State Park with RV or primitive camping

4) Hotel options: Comfort Suites Mandeville for closest option and Southern Hotel for more luxury.

Sunday April 20

4-8 Check-In

5-7 Dinner Pastalaya & Salad

Around Fountainbleu there ae several hiking trails. You can stroll along the beach of Lake Ponchartrain and enjoy the sunset from the pier.

Sunday evening check out Luren Murphy Music @ Ruby’s Road House (4-7pm no cover charge). In the original Ruby’s buidling the dance foor collapsed during a perfomrance of Rockin’ Dopsie Jr.

Monday April 21

8-10 Check-In & light snacks

Ride out to Covington 37 miles round trip. Vist Abita Springs Trailhead Museum, Abita Mystery House (museum of the unusual), Abita Brewery & Tap Room and downtown Covington.

5-7 Dinner Seafood Boil (shrimp, crawfish, crabs, potatoes, corn, sausage) & Salad
