Chicot State Park is located just North of Ville Platte and is 45 minutes from Lafayette.   It has a trail system that is over 20 miles long that wraps around the lake.  The trails are a series of short rolling hills on single track.

Chicot also offers plenty of smooth roads good for road biking.
